Aesthetic filling
Composite material, which has the ability to be shaped, is used as an aesthetic filling material. It is hardened with halogen light and chemically bonded to the tooth. Although it is mostly preferred for regional tooth fractures, it is primarily evaluated to what extent teeth that are weak due to large decays or fractures can be strengthened with an aesthetic filling. Thanks to the developments in composite technology, most teeth that require porcelain veneer are now maintained only with a filling.
What is the lifespan of aesthetic fillings?
Depending on the person’s routine oral care, they can be used comfortably for many years if they are polished and maintained by the dentist at 6-month or 1-year intervals.

Unless a decay is detected in the tooth where an aesthetic filling has been applied by the dentist, it is not renewed.
Can amalgam (black filling) fillings be replaced with aesthetic fillings?
