Surgical Tooth Extraction
It is the surgical extraction of teeth that are generally very damaged, no longer treatable, broken as a result of trauma and impacted due to limited space in the mouth. Unlike other tooth extractions, healing support is given to the incision with stitches.
Wisdom Tooth Extraction.
These teeth, which are notorious for being impacted and surgically extracted today, are molars expected to emerge in the late teens or early twenties.
Apical resection (Root Tip Resection)
It is the process of surgically removing the inflamed part of the root tip of the tooth located in the bone. Its other name is apical resection.
Sinus Lifting (Elevation)
The sinus cavity in the upper jaw is an anatomical structure. These air-filled cavities sometimes sag downwards. For such reasons, the amount of bone available in our upper jaw decreases.
When a removable prosthesis is not desired or when we need to make an implant due to tooth loss, the bone insufficiency here prevents implant applications. With the sinus lift technique, the sinus floor is lifted a little with surgical applications. In this way, the necessary volume for the implant to be applied is provided.
Bone Graft (Bone Powder) Applications
Bone grafts are called bone powder. Grafts produced from human, animal or synthetic sources are produced in the form of small particle powder or in the form of blocks.
It is preferred in cases where there is insufficient bone in the area where dental implants will be placed, where implants are required to be placed in the same session as tooth extraction, and in pre-implant sinus floor elevation operations. The cells it contains support bone formation.
Is there pain during surgical procedures?
Local anesthesia is applied to the area to be operated during the surgical procedure and no pain or ache is felt until the end of the procedure. Depending on the person’s request and availability, surgical procedures are also performed under GENERAL ANESTHESIA, so the person does not see or feel anything until the preparation and completion process.
Is there pain and facial swelling after the surgical procedure?
If the procedures are performed by a specialist physician, a mild pain that gradually decreases may be experienced. The painkillers prescribed by the physician provide a more comfortable recovery. Cold compresses are applied for the first 24 hours to prevent edema on the inside of the cheek. Mild swelling is normal during the recovery process.
